The Web Developer will be responsible for creation and
design of project website according to specification.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Design the look of the web sites interface using
software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
Dreamweaver, XHTML/DHTML, Flash, Flash Action
Script, Fireworks or Image Ready
-
Develop detailed technical requirements for the web
site such as features, software, protocols,
programming languages and system software.
-
Implement design and software enhancements to the
web site (visible interface) using programming
languages such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, and VRML
Program interconnections on the server side of the
web site languages such as PHP C, C++, , ASP, Perl,
SQL or other server side languages
-
To design and develop relational database systems
and their web interfaces,
-
Responsible for integrating the Oracle Server
database with the NITC website,
-
Responsible for the design web pages, including
graphics, animation and functionality,
-
To develop web page infrastructure and application
related to pages with more advanced graphics and
features,
-
Diagnose and fix software bugs, test the programming
with various browsers, and correct programming, as
needed,
-
Launch the web site by publishing it onto a server,
-
Maintain and enhance the web site on the server
-
To monitor web server and the website technical
performance.
Skills
and qualifications:
-
A university degree in IT or relevant discipline.
-
3 years experience in same discipline.
-
Proven Web and Database Development experience.
-
In depth PHP, ASP, JavaScript, and (X) HTML
knowledge
-
Strong database knowledge specifically Oracle Server
or MSSQL
-
Web / Graphical Design skills would be desirable.
-
A flexible attitude with proven experience of
working in a small team.
-
Excellent communication skills and attention to
detail.
Durations:
one post for 9 months the other for 1 year.
